People who are touring Rajasthan by hired taxi and arriving in Udaipur are advised that though vehicles cannot be parked within the hotel premises, public parking is available 30-40 meters away from the hotel, either near the city palace or below the hotel at the Lalghat area. Those with a hired taxi are also reminded not to believe or rely on the objections raised by the driver about the difficulty of getting to the hotel or comments about the status of the hotel. These objections or comments may include telling passengers that the accommodations are full, the hotel has closed down, there is poor approach space, no parking space, etc. They are simple trying to convince you not to stay at Sai Nivas. The drivers do this because the owner/management is vehemently against giving commissions to taxi drivers, a fact well known to them. Even though the drivers are not accommodated or entertained at the hotel, arrangements are made for their lodging and board in an adjacent hotel when required.
